We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Board and help guide our organization toward achieving our goals and making a positive impact. 

Our Mission: 

Fulfilling dreams, WeAreDREAMERS Network unites and advocates for immigrants across the U.S.A through an inclusive online community. We provide low-cost services, free resources, and programs, prioritizing family reunification and empowering immigrants to connect, learn, and thrive—one dream at a time. 

Position Overview:  

As a board member, you will play a crucial role in advocating for the organization’s mission. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of skills, experience, and enthusiasm to support our organization in achieving its objectives.  

Key Responsibilities:  

• Governance and Oversight:  
  • Provide strategic leadership and governance in alignment with the organization’s mission and goals.  
  • Participate in the development and approval of the organization’s strategic plan and annual budget.  
  • Oversee the CEO, including supporting their performance and providing constructive feedback.  
• Fundraising and Advocacy:  
  • Assist in identifying and cultivating potential donors and sponsors.  
  • Participate in fundraising activities and events to support the organization’s financial health.  
  • Advocate for the organization’s mission within its community and professional networks.  
• Committees and Meetings:  
  • Attend and actively participate in board meetings. 
  • Serve on at least one board department. 
  • Review and approve organizational policies and procedures.  
• Financial Stewardship:  
  • Ensure the organization’s financial health and sustainability through prudent oversight.  
  • Review and approve financial statements and annual audits.  
• Networking and Partnerships:  
  • Leverage personal and professional networks to benefit the organization. 
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders and partner organizations.  

Qualifications:  

• Proven commitment to immigration reform, advocacy, and advancing social justice initiatives. 
• Previous experience serving on a nonprofit board or in a leadership role is preferred.  
• Strong understanding of nonprofit governance, financial oversight, and fundraising.  
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.  
• Ability to contribute consistently, including attending meetings and participating in departmental work.
